Passive Aggressive Me
I am not often passive aggressive, but today I decided to be:
To preface, I am "looking forward" to SS coming to visit again this weekend.
So in preparation, I went to get ice cream to have on hand. I bought "Death by Chocolate."
SS hates chocolate ice cream.
I did this in part because my H allowed his kid to eat all of my Cookies n' Cream ice cream on his last visit here and also in part because, honestly, I am secretly hoping to hear the kid complain that he doesn't like chocolate just so that I can think in my head, "I know you don't kiddo. I know you don't," while I am eating a HUGE ice cream cone right in his face.
I know, I'm sick.

Nice. I do Tue same
Nice.
I do Tue same sometimes. If SD is being a particular brat all make something she doesn't like dinner.
Not sick. You're in a state
Not sick. You're in a state of self-preservation. I struggle with a lot of the same things. I give my son lots of snacks. He's 18 months old. Toddlers snack A LOT. SD8 isn't allowed to snack. The difference? DS18MOnths eats his meals. In fact, he eats everything I give him. He gets lots of fruits and veggies. He gets plenty of protein. And his snacks consist of yogurt, apple sauce, and blueberries, not ice cream and cookies.
Anyway, when we go on a daily outing, I pack snacks that SD8 doesn't like, otherwise she'll expect some of DS' snacks. Thanks to her father she thinks that when we're in public her all ready shitty eating habits are perfectly fine and therefore the rule about snacking doesn't apply.
For me, I'll admit that I'm
For me, I'll admit that I'm really pissed at my H for allowing his kid to eat all of the ice cream and for making sure that some was left for me.
My SD will eat all of my fruits and veggies. It's hard to b*tch about a kid that wants to eat healthy food. So not only do I keep my mouth shut when she eats my snacks, but I will actually *gasp* try to make sure that I have some extra on hand.
Maybe I need to explain why this is a big deal for me: I stopped grocery shopping/cooking for the skids long ago. Like many others on StepTalk - my efforts were either ignored or ridiculed. So I gave up. So for me to *share* my food with them, yes it feels like a big deal.
WOW you are just sooo evil
WOW you are just sooo evil (eye roll) LOL
Hell, I do that to my OWN kids. Mainly my BS he gets into everything, so I on purpose buy food I know he doesnt like, just so I CAN have food I like for a snack....
Apparently we are both "sick" hahaha
Muahahahaahaaa!!!
Muahahahaahaaa!!!
Not sick at all!!! Suck it
Not sick at all!!! Suck it kiddo!
Exactly!!
Exactly!!
its not terrible at all - I
its not terrible at all - I do stupid shit like that all the time. My SD likes her vegetables raw, I alwasy cook them. Eat them or go hungry, they are veggies. It is stupid and petty but I do it anyway.
Love it!! I don't like
Love it!! I don't like eating anything after SD she is a clean kid but you never know if she washes her hands or not. One time she went to get some ice cream and I happened to be in the kitchen. She takes it out and microwaves it!!!! So it would soften up so she could scoop some out. Really you can't wait five minutes??? Uggg after that I get the first serving or I don't get any at all.
I know much easier right? I
I know much easier right? I just let it sit out for a few mins. but when I saw her do that I thought good lord what else does she do :?
That is a fabulous plan. My
That is a fabulous plan.
My SD returns tomorrow for a short visit before she goes back to school...I plan on hiding ll the good household products because she devours them...
You gotta do what you gotta do...
I purchased a bag of fresh
I purchased a bag of fresh cherries for me last weekend when SD was over. I purposely hid them inside the vegetable drawer under a bag of lettuce. As soon as she left, I took them out. I also waited for her to leave before I went food shopping. As soon as she left I stocked the house with blueberry muffins, lemonade and cookies. I refuse to buy food when she is around, she eats everything and doesn't leave ANYTHING for anyone else.
I am so glad to know that I
I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who does this.
In all fairness, I also do it when my son is coming over too, because he will eat everything in the house. It just annoys me when the skids do it.
