Sincere thanks to you all!

No need to respond to this post since you’ve all done so on my blog of 27th July. Dad went to heaven last night. I thought that I’d done my grieving during the last few weeks of his EOL decline but I was wrong; still have a long way to go.

For those who suggest that a SF is less than a bio-dad, think again. My sibs and I loved our Dad with all of our father-deprived hearts and made sure that at least one of us was in attendance during his lengthy and final hospitalization. His last words to me were, “D…, I love you”. So, my fellow StepTalkers, give your dads/stepdads a special hug today. Life is fickle.

Your kind and supportive words, last month, gave me more comfort than you can conceive of. I've read them over many times and have saved them to re-read when I'm finding it hard to cope. Truly, your on-line affection felt heartfelt and genuine. I’m so very grateful to you all.

May you be comforted by the great memories you have. Sending you love through the airwaves. Grieve at your pace.

Much love to you. Family can be who you choose, so ignore anyone who says otherwise. ((Hugs))

I am sorry to hear about your dad.  I have a major soft spot for him as a StepDad who loves my son beyond measure.

Take care of yourself grannyd.

I'm just now getting around to catching up on your blog entries. I am so sorry and and sending you hugs, thoughts and prayers! I know first hand the devestating loss of a father.

He raised an intelligent, kind and impressive lady (YOU!)

This world is a better place because you are here!
