Time alone.
My husband left for a business trip yesterday, it was the first time I had dropped him off at the airport in 5 years and I didn't cry because he was leaving. That made me sad.
With him being out of town, I was dreading going home because my stepdaughters might be there. They had a discussion with their dad the night before how about how we don't made them feel "comfortable" being at our home. I know my husband wants them there but I really feel it will be at the expense of our marriage. They will straight not abide to any rule and expect that we just accept that. I can't.
Well they weren't home and I managed to get a lot of things done around the house, have a good meal (Nathan's hot dogs) watch WHAT I WANTED TO WATCH and play with my dogs.
It felt really good.

These women are ADULTS. One
These women are ADULTS. One generally doesn't want adults to feel too comfortable in your home. They need to be building their own lives.
If they don't live with you and he's out of town there is no reason for them to be at your home unless you invite them.
The younger of the two lives
The younger of the two lives with us, the older is "trying to decide" if she will...but since we haven't cleared out our office and made room for her to move in she's saying we don't want her there. The bottom line is the room the younger one is in looks like 6 12 year old boys live in there, it's a mess. I don't know about my husband thinks but I know if they older one moves in we will have two rooms that look like 6 12 year old boys live there.
