Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I guess some people have a perfect life and need to go and find something to occupy them.
Do any of them understand we WISH we were in a r'ship with a stable BM and skids to deal with. 90% of them couldn't have lasted a month in what I went thru in 4 years.

Been here for over a year and the maximum I've ever seen before this alwaysanonymous trend was 190. And that was a fluke. Usually it was around 130.

I could be said to be a bit of a lurker. I like to read the blogs here. It helps take my mind off my own step dynamics. It's very helpful. I occasionally post, but I don't always have something to say, plus the blogs are public and although you can edit and delete those, I don't think that you can edit / or delete your responses to other peoples blogs. I'm always careful about what I say online. I also try to be helpful in return, even if I don't post publicly and I tend to respond to people privately, if I have something to say or my own advice for their blogs.
