Any ladies here who do not have kids of their own have to take the skids trick or treating?? I DO NOT WANT TO GO.
Not my kid, I would rather be at home nice and warm. I'm a jerk o well I guess.

I'm undecided if I want to go. This is the first year that we will have SD for halloween since I've lived with my husband. We didn't really celebrate halloween where I grew up and it seems like a really odd thing to me to take kids around strangers houses begging for candy. At least my husband can take SD if I decide I don't want to join them. Are you expected to go on your own with the skids??

Oh no my BF always wants to take him and to him im expected to go with him otherwise it would just be my BF and the skid. I just dont feel like going. Honestly the skid is fake to me? If my BF family is around he will jump up and hug me when I get there but if no one is looking or around he ignores me? I grew up different. You don't spoil your kids and baby them and let them do WHAT EVER THEY WANT. It just bugs me so much

I have kids of my own, but they are 14 and 18 and WAY past the TOTing phase. That being said HELL NO I do not want to nor would I. I've been there and done that with MINE!! Luckily it's not SO's weekend so it's a non issue.

awe man you're lucky. Stupid BM takes the kid for like 5 houses at her neighbors then we spend the rest of the night taking him!!and my BF of course wont say anything and there we go for the kid to spend the evening walking around in the cold

I don't think it's strange for only one parent to supervise trick or treating.
When my bios were of the trick or treating age we were an intact family. One of us took the kids out trick or treating and the other stayed home to hand out the candy to the trick or treaters.
Buy some candy and tell him you are staying home to hand it out.

did you miss the part where you then eat half of it while relaxing in a quiet home watching a movie with the lights off and ignoring any knocking at the door?

My kid is 24. I'm sure he and bunch of friends will be club hopping that night.

I'm taking my niece10 and nephew 8 out to beg for candy.

I'm not going out. I am staying home to hand out candy. My late husband and I used to take turns taking our kids out or handing out the candy until they were old enough to go out with their friends. They are all in their mid to late twenties now. One with a child of his own to take out trick or treating.

I have gone in in the past but this year BM has SS4. I have BioBaby but since my family never celebrated Halloweem I have opted out with the excuse that he's too little. I suggested to DH that we add Halloween to the list of holidays to share so that I don't get stuck going for the next 5 years straight (every year Halloween is on a weekday). Instead it would be every other year. Besides BM goes all out for Halloween like its Christmas so I think DH could share a little
