How often are you and DH intimate on an average week? Do you feel comfortable doing that while step kids are over? If it were up to you how often would it occur? If it were up to DH?
I guess I will answer first since I posted the questions! An average week for DH and I would be between 5-7 times...so just about daily. It does not bother me at all when the skids are there. We have a fairly large house and their bedrooms are not near ours and they go to bed around 8:30-9. So that leaves plenty of alone time for DH and I. I think we are both happy with this.
Great question! Intimacy is truly an amazing thing, it has helped both of us stay sane! We are also around 10-12 times a week. Skid is there about 3 to 4 nights a week but we get romantic after she is in bed and before she wakes up. He is happy, but he probably wouldn't mind if it was 20-30
I dont care as long as the lil ones are sleeping or GONE!!! But I dont think having the kids around should distrub your sex life.What would us full time parents do haha but yeah if you can do it then DO IT!Me and my H have a very active sex life the only brake I get is when mother nature calls.Which sometimes doesnt come soon enough lol
DH and I have a very healthy and fun intimate life… but we’re VERY careful! (We both have early childhood memories of walking into our parents bedrooms at an inappropriate moment… funny to us now, but we don’t want to be laughed about with the skids and their wives some day down the road!!!)
Our inside joke is that when we hear the “Fraggle Rock” theme song it’s an instant aphrodisiac… it’s a loud DVD and we’ve used it a few times during the day to hold their attention and cover any noises that we may not want them to hear! We’ll look at each other and make “the eyes” and say…
“How about a lill Fraggle Rockin…?”
That is too funny! We have also been known to lock the door and turn on the tv very loud for saturday morning cartoons for the kids. Just last weekend he said to me...what are we going to do when the kids are old enough to catch on to what we are doing!! LOL
DH and I are "intimate" at least once everyday but usually about twice a day (morning and evening). SD doesn't live with us or stay with us ever, so that isn't an issue.
WOW when we first got married it was a lot about 2xs a day but now it is about once every other day. However we are always loving on each other several times a day. weather the kids are here or not doesn;t matter. That is what a lock on the door is for. LOL
One of the things that factored into us going down to every other day mainly is dh's job, he has to be at work so early in the morn that he goes to bed before any of the kids do.
My DH would be jealous to hear that you ladies wake up early for that!! I can hardly wake up in time to get out the door to work on time!! Maybe I will surprise him tomorrow morning!
We average out to about once or twice a day. Weekend mornings are my favorite....wake up, have some fun, fall back asleep, wake up, have some more fun.....repeat! We regulary sneak back to our room in the afternoons on the weekends to "nap". During the week, we always spend some time in our room, just the two of us, catching up on the day after work......sometimes this leads to some quick fun as well!
Kids don't bother us in the least! We have 4 kids and 3 exes between us and if we waited for a free night we'd likely to be lucky to get some once every other week!
No worries Lizzhouse! I'm in my late 20's and I tell DH he should be happy with every other day. There are definitely times where it is more than that, but I let him know that if he decides to stay up late and play videos games instead of coming to bed that's his problem.
wow I wish I could do it as much as you guys are! lol I guess my sex drive isnt that high (though dh's is!) I dont feel like I ever have enough time for it either (and I dont have any kids, just work and school) I wish mine was that high. Anybody have any tips on how to make it higher!? lol
