Just call me MAT
Forums:
Let me start by saying I am so glad to have found this place and you amazing posters and bloggers!
I have to ask here because I can not ever start to verbalize this yet without feeling physically ill.
How many people here had their adult step daughter invite herself to stay at you home on your wedding night? We went home after the wedding so it wasn't like there was the anticipation of a honeymoon or anything.
WOW! I feel better just getting that out.
Wow.... thats one adult SD
Wow.... thats one adult SD with some serious issues. I would be livid to say the least. Not to mention, how DISRESPECTFUL. WOW!!
Let's just say it wasn't your
Let's just say it wasn't your 'usual' wedding night.
It was pretty frosty to say the very least
She is all that matters in
She is all that matters in her world.
Daddy was afraid to say anything because then she wouldn't talk to him.....(BIG FU$@ING WOOP)
He did eventually chat with her, haven't heard any apologizies from her so I guess it is all my fault HA HA HA HA
I really think she believes she is number one in DH's life and she views this marriage as him cheating on her. SICK/SAD/PATHETIC and a lot of things all rolled into one.
I think I would have handed
I think I would have handed her a key to a flea bag hotel and told her to enjoy her evening.
Wow?! :?
It would only have been the
It would only have been the sounds of ice crystals forming
If she found out about it
If she found out about it before hand I seriously believe she would show up with multiple suitcases.
Someone please explain to me why these men would rather be tortured by these children than put their foot down and demand they be treated with respect? I would rather someone not speak to me than have them treat me like crap...I don't get it.
Ice crystals forming! That is
Ice crystals forming! That is SO funny!
Like many kids have with
Like many kids have with their parents, my son (SS-18) has walked in on his mom and I a few times over the years. We have been married since he was 1yo so it is not like he is not clear that his mom and I have an active sex life.
His usual reaction is to say "OMG! I am going to the kitchen to dig my eyes out with a spoon".
I am sorry but crashing someone's wedding night deserves some consequences. Even if those consequences include having to dig one's eyes out with a spoon.
Best regards,
Thank you for the laugh! She
Thank you for the laugh!
She would have to actually pry her a$$ off the couch to walk in on anything. Way too much work on her part. Besides, there is no food in there HA HA HA
Hmmmm.... I should add the
Hmmmm....
I should add the next part to this drama...
DH attempted to talk to SD (mid twenties )pointing out her behaviour made everyone uncomfortable and she made me feel like she didn't like me.(not my words)
I am sure everyone here can figure out what she said to 'Daddy'
I wasn't there when the discussion transpired (probably a good thing I would probably have puked, or worse taken her to task on the BS)
She was shocked that I would think, never mind say such a horrible thing when it was obvious it was I who HATED her and she was just trying oh so hard to have a good relationship with me.
It must have been a real production because even DH said - I never realised how manipulative she is.
GAK! Haven't heard or seen anything from her since....but I;m sure she isn't going to stay away for too long.
My (Step) mom used this on me
My (Step) mom used this on me and I use it on my daughter...
"I love you and will always love you. I don't like you very much right now (long pause)...but I will ALWAYS love you".
It works wonders in conveying how I feel when she does her teenage angst thing.
I feel for you!! I want to
I feel for you!! I want to say I don't understand why they think they are entitled to do stuff like this, but I realize, we do understand, that seems to make it worse....
I wish I had a magic solution for you.
I would've climbed back into
I would've climbed back into the car and hit the nearest Holiday Inn. Cost be damned.
HINDSIGHT IS 20/20 I should
HINDSIGHT IS 20/20
I should have found one with a spa and pampered myself (cuz we all know I would have been there alone!)
Sometimes I wish that little nerd that lives in my head and keeps telling me to play nice would just get a$$kicked by the b!tch that also resides there but seems to get her mouth ducktaped shut!
The BM in my world lived
The BM in my world lived across the road in the old familial home from DHs apartment. On our wedding night she went out for the evening and then informed DH that as she wouldn't be home until 10pm the boys could stay with us. Thankyou very much BITCH!
ARGH! I know how P.O.ED I was
ARGH!
I know how P.O.ED I was about SD I can't imagine having BEAST B!TCH FROM HELL doing that.
That f'ing takes the cake!
I am in complete
I am in complete agreement.
Any bets on SD showing up ha ha ha
That would be like poo icing on the cake
The only reason my SD (27)
The only reason my SD (27) didn't spend our wedding night with us is because we got a nice room for 2 days because she lives with us. I did ask DH if he wanted to invite her!
Welcome to the pathetic SD club! She's also pulled that "daddy, I don't think Shannon likes me" foolishness. After I got done listed all the shi!ty things she'd done to me . . DH looked foolish and realize she was the one causing the most conflict.
If she doesn't live with you count your blessings . . .She's too stupid to realize how pathetic she looks still living at home with daddy and SM at her age!
Yoiu are so right! I should
Yoiu are so right! I should be counting my blessings - she doesn't live with us.
So many SD's and their fathers are so much alike there must be a way to overcome their crap effectively and live happily ever after......(yah right!)
I wonder if the Dh's feel we have undying love for them and they can do whatever it is they want, including putting poor pathetic SD's needs/wants/demands wihtout us ever leaving. I dunno.
If we are as evil as SD's seem to think we are and dislike them so much why is it no one else sees it or better yet feels our wrath?
UGH!
Some men just have a
Some men just have a paralyzing fear of their daughters and their ex. I know, I just ended a relationship with one over it. It was just too much to bear, year after year, having adult women that I don't even know trying to control my life and a man who doesn't have the b*lls to stop it. He was willing to let our relationship go because of his fear of them.
DH was also afraid to speak
DH was also afraid to speak up to SD until I told him she ran the house. Yep, I had to diminish his ego to get him angry enough to blow up at her . .she didn't know what hit her and was amazed at his wrath
She still walks all over him . .but I'm working on him.
