Curious...
Have any of you been over to that site for help/information? I've asked for help in the past and was attacked by the "volunteers" for being an SM and asking for legal advice.

Wondering if any of you experienced something similar?

I have been to that site before, but when I post any questions about my step situation, I make sure to not use 'us' or 'we' feel such and such. because they WILL attack you, but *legally* speaking, step parents dont have any say in their step kids situation anyway, and that's all their trying to say, except I have thought it went a little too far before.

Yes, I made sure to follow the rules and keep the "we" and "us" language out of it. Still, they were very nasty and I've read many other times when they jump on SMs and SDs who post. Since it's a volunteer site, wouldn't it be better for people who don't want to give free advice to steps...to just not give it?

yeah I have seen them jump on SM/SD's who didnt say we or us AT ALL. I agree with you though! but I bet they would say we could find another free advice site if we didnt want to be jumped on!
