Why am I the only one that seems to care about YOUR children??

Okay.....

My stepsons are 3 and 4 and are still in diapers and not putting more than a word or two together. The three year old has needed eye surgery since he was 6 months old and I found the problem and started the process of getting it taken care of two years ago. To this day, the BM will not get this poor kid the surgery he needs so he isn't seeing double. She sends them to us each summer with clothes that are too small for them and stuff that doesn't match and most of it was just dumped from the dirty clothes into the suitcases. She won't send toys with the kids or anything else. She NEVER calls us. EVER. So the only time we get to talk to the kids is when the grandmother has them. What am I going to do? I can't keep watching these poor kids suffer. They wake up in the middle of the night crying for daddy. We live in GA and they live 10/12months in NY with Mom who pawns them off on anyone possible. I'm just SO pissed and frustrated right now.... Seriously? We can't just put differences aside and take care of what the kids need?????

all I can say is document everything, take numerous pictures. You could try going after custody on neglect- she is obviously medically neglecting the kids if nothing else.

I don't understand why so many BM's send them to BD's house with ill fitting clothes. WHY WHY WHY....most of the time when DD18 was little I would only send BRAND NEW clothes for her. Why would I want him to think I wasn't taking care of our daughter. It only made me look like an ass..not him.

Oh I remember the skids arriving in terrible clothes, old, nasty and full of holes. What I couldn't believe is that we would buy clothes which the skids would wear home, as you could hardly ask them to take off the nice stuff before they returned to BM!!! And most of it was never worn back to our house !!! Hardly surprising I guess !!! BM didn't work at all until like 5 years ago, and even then she just earns the minimin, to not affect her other benefits !!! After we moved countries, we were chased for CS .... reaccessed and now pay more for the remaining skid than we did for two !!! SD21 is still being supported with regular payments since turning 18. This over the years has been more expensive than the CS for her!!!
Have you ever had a Skid turn up with ripped open old shoes, saying BM said they need new shoes for School. Well what could DH do, who would send their child over like that??? It was disgusting.....
