New to site..
It appears I finally found a decent place to vent...
Quick bio - step dad of 2 girls and father to 1 girl. Current wife is my daughters step mom, we do not have any children together. I get along "ok" with my ex when it comes to "co-parenting" my daughter. Also, I have her every other weekend and once during the week.
My wife's situation - divorced 7 years ago with 50/50 custody. Dad basically disappeard for about 3 years and didn't see the kids very often. 3 years ago he met and married a woman with 2 kids of her own, the daughter lives with her and the son lives with his dad.
Hindsight is 20/20, but now we look book and we should have filed for full custody of the girls when their dad disappeard on them. Now, life if hell. New step-mom tries to control the scene, EVERY scene. We tried taking them to court 2 years ago but couldn't "prove" his not seeing the kids and he lied on the stand over and over again. There goes 20k with nothing to show for it.
Now, we have the step-mom talking trash to the girls about their mom and causing a scene at the girls schools, sporting events, etc..My wife at first refused to deal with her, she wanted to deal with the kids father. The only way he would communicate was over email, which was actually coming from her. I've tried to talk to him several times and he puts me on speaker phone so his wife can talk. He sits back and does nothing. The girls complain to us all the time about how they hate it over there and how her kids are treated better. We don't know what to do, we are constantly climbing an uphill battle.
This is the type of person she is just to give you an example. They are extremely manipulative and they called the other day to tell us about something AWFUL going on at the local high school. In her devious way, she is trying to convince us to want to move the kids to a different town because she has expressed moving her daughter out of the current school district. She can't legally move my wife's kids because it's in the divorce papers but I digress. The awful thing going on at the high school was they were showing Romeo and Juliet (1968 version) in english class. For those that don't remember watching it, it does show a breast in the movie. I forgot to mention that the BD and SM are Christians when it's convenient for them, so this was extremely upsetting to them and they would never let their kids watch that in high school. They also mentioned that the school they attended never showed that movie which I find hard to believe. After I got off the phone with them I asked my oldest SD about rated "R" movies that they watch at their house. She said they've seen the Final Destination movies and listed several other. Is that called hypocrisy?
Another big blow up - they always call my wife a liar and give lame examples that would barely even scratch the surface of a "white lie". They don't remember when we went to court that they lied on stand time and time again. That apparently doesn't count.
The whole situation would be different if the BD really did care and took advantage of seeing his kids but he has nothing to do with them according to the children. He comes home from work and lays on the couch until bed while the SM runs the house and their lives.
Recently, SM told the girls that any woman who works is not a christian. About 6 months ago she decided to be a stay at home mom. My wife and I pay for all of the kids lunches, band instrument, braces, etc. They pay for nothing. When the kids are sick, they rarely take them to the doctor when they have possession of the children. The funny thing is, I'm tempted to have my wife stay at home too since she actually is a Christian woman so the kids father can support them.
I'm tired and fed up with it. I don't know what to do. They are miserable people with terrible motives. Any suggestions would be fantastic.

how old are the girls? you
how old are the girls? you said high school? I'm pretty sure they've seen more than a breast in an old movie!
Seriously, have you been around high school kids today? It's pretty hardcore.
Sorry that you have to deal with this but it feels like a no win situation.
You guys have to be consistent and united is all I can say!
14 and 9, in Texas a child
14 and 9, in Texas a child can talk to a judge at 12 but the judge doesn't necessarily have to grant the childs wishes.
They are christians when they
They are christians when they don't agree with what someone else is doing. They really need to remove the 16' 4x4 out of their eye before pointing out the spec in our eyes..
