There is hope... (something positive)
So my "back story" is a lengthy one so I won't bore you with too many of the the details & get to the good stuff...
BM dropped off the face of the earth for 2 months no one heard from her, not even her own mother. But originally hasn't really been around much any way. She calls the other day and surprise she's pretty much living in another state?? So she's feeling crappy for not being around for the boys (5 & 6 yrs old) Shes calling more and we are asking that she call consistently before we let her talk to them again, so that she doesn't hurt them by bouncing in and out of their lives. Part of that requires her calling me since SO is at work during the mid evenings. She called tonight and actually THANKED me for being there for the boys and told me that she appreciated me. :jawdrop: I was glad she had actually had showed respect for me to tell me that. Also I called BM's mother after our phone call (her and I actually have a really healthy relationship) & while talking to her the boys were arguing in the background and messing around, I had to address them a few times while on the phone with her and she complimented me on my patience and parenting, and added that BM used to yell/scream/& cuss at them non stop, & she said that by the sounds of the boys BM would've been ripping her hair out by then. That really made my day.
I am definitely not the type to pat myself on the back and I am usually way too hard on myself, but I thought I would share a semi-positive story.
Anyone else have something positive they would like to share?
Crickets.......but I'm happy
Crickets.......but I'm happy for you. I'm convinced I'll never experience anything positive when it comes to SD or BM.
Honestly we don't have too
Honestly we don't have too bad of a relationship, especially for now; considering she's in another state at the moment it works out nicely to not have her around. But there has been ups and downs, luckily we all choose to be cordial to each other for the sake of the children.
But my point of this post was to try and encourage others to maybe post something positive that had happened in their day, maybe not concerning the Skids or BMs, just anything positive, seems like a lot of negativity here, imho.
Have a great day, & blessingsā”
It's always nice to be
It's always nice to be appreciated. Yes our BM has been appreciative before. Then the honeymoon cycle passes and we start phasing in the build up to the explosion again!
I wonder. Do you suppose they actually remember or is that even possible for them!
It is extremely positive that
It is extremely positive that the Sperm Clan is long in our pasts now. SS-22 aged out from under the CO nearly 5 years ago and we have had zero contact with the Sperm Clan. SS has had very little contact and what he has had has been so ridiculous that he just laughs his ass off at them.
The pig positive is that we were able to raise SS to be a young man of character, a self supporting viable adult, and a respectful and respectable contributor to our society in spite of the shallow and polluted end of his gene pool.
