Meeting with other Step Parents

Does anyone know of any groups that have been created for Step Parents where they actually meet in person? (Not just talk on sites like this.) It would be nice to develop new friendships with others in a similar situation.

I have found that just talking with other people here and there helps sometimes.
One of my friends is a SM to a 19 yo and she JUST started venting to me about all the issues she's had (she was scared to do so before, but she's got me now to help her!).

One of my former co-workers was a good source too. Sadly, she left a couple months ago. She had older SSs but had super good advice.

A few other co-workers are good, one isn't a SM but a BM but her mother makes her feel like a SM sometimes. She also comes to me with questions and is going to be a great BM! I envy anyone who becomes her SM.

I do take new personal contacts carefully because not all understand the complexity of some situations. Sometimes it's just a look like, "Ohhhhhhh, you're a SM toooooo. You get it!" with a nod and a wink.

I have actually met

I have actually met personally with a former STalker, her DH and her Skid. I was on a business trip and was in the area where they live. So we set up to have dinner together.

A very pleasant evening.

I have also attempted to have lunch with a couple of other STalkers but we have not been able to make it happen...... yet.

Not an actually physically meeting group effort but an occasional contact.

I would be interested in a Wine Down Wed SParent get together at some point or even regularly. Or any other day of the week I can fit in.
