I had an epiphany
Going to the retreat, made me feel real in this cyper relationship we have. So I felt drawn back in. Only to find a different site. Maybe it's like graduating high school and going back for a reunion.
What struck me most is how what I thought I could get from this place and what I'm doing now makes me feel so differently about the whole step life I have been leading.
I think for a long time I needed the answer, the one that would fix the situation. When I couldn't fix it, I blamed the hell out of everyone else involved. I thought the more I sought, the more I would be able to "help the skids see the light," or "maybe she (BM) will realize what a blessing I really am in her and her kids life"
What I thought tonight was that this process, this opportunity to share and vent and scream with/ and at you all sometimes is the path to another plateau. I thought tonight that, it is understanding me, that is the process and all the people in our lives are mirrors to help us see who we are and what we are doing.
So I hope I stay here, this feels like growing up, growing wiser, and growing happier.
Again, all of you. I love you.
Kathleen
So, I don't need to fix anything or anyone, I just need to heal and take care of me.
I hope this makes sense.

Girls, this was seriously an epiphany!!!
Oops. I hit enter too soon. No seriously. There has been a lot of talk about Chava, and Anne, and all kinds of nonsense on this site recently. It isn't the first time this has happened and wont be the last. My epiphany wasn't just for me. I shared it with all of you so that maybe, with out saying, "hey gals/guys, look at yourselves". I really think with have spaces and places in this life.
On the retreat, SW said she didn't have much of a step issue anymore since her's our grown. Well mine have "gone" so to speak but they haven't left my heart, my mind, or my consciousness. What I wanted to say to her, and what I found in my words for all of you, was that, we can offer eachother wisdom from many places in our path.
I think I learned something and I think its worth taking a look at for me and for anyone else on their path. Especially if they are still in the place of blame or trying to make everything alright.
Each and every one of our experiences are unique but never really that different. So, those senior steptalkers, don't leave, I'm right behind you and I need your wisdom. Those behind, help me see what I missed, and if I can help you, I am glad to share.
xxoo Kathleen
