I'll try keep this short. We spent maybe 4 years training his son to sleep alone, he is now 6 and has been sleeping independently for the last 6-12 months. Now it's become a bedtime thing again that DH has to climb into bed with him until he falls asleep. That's after the marathon nights of kids being up all hours. We don't have couple time ever. I'm getting over this s***. We have a bio and skids all wknd every wknd and no parents around to watch them. I feel like the cycle of spiky children never ends and DH enables it. Tonight he even carried the 6 year old to bed like a baby. It's ridiculous. He can walk and doesn't need to be babied all the time. I wrote this as I sit alone in the lounge seething to myself as DH lays in the skids bedroom for the next hour before he takes himself to bed....if he doesn't just fall asleep in there tonight.
