I have been with my wife for 13 years, she has 3 SD's now aged 20, 18 and 15 nearly 16. Their BD has not paid the money he was meant to for 6 years and nothing in the last 1 1/2. My wife does not work ( she never when we met).

When the skids were young I was happy to pay for everything but now they are older I have a real issue with paying for things like family holidays, take-aways etc....20 year old works full time (pays for herself to go but I buy all food, drinks etc). 18 year old works part-time so hard to ask her to pay.

I wouldn't mind but the real issue I have is that they show no thanks or respect to either myself or my wife but if we didn't go on holiday then my wife, my son and I would miss out. My wife rightly feels like she has to ask them to go

If I told my wife I begrudged paying she would be upset and I know we decided to carry on with her not working to bring up our son but I didn't expect their dad to stop contributing

Or am I being selfish now, I feel guilty about feeling this way?

Guess there is no real answer as my wife would only get a job that paid hardly anything and it's better she is home looking after our son. My bed I know I have to lie in it but I am human and sometimes it really gets to me.... just wanted to vent
