I feel really happy and good today

Not StepTalk related, but I feel really happy and good today because when I met my client down at Title company to sign for his new home, my client gave me lots of realtor worship, he was telling me how good of a job that I did and how I was the best agent that he ever  had and he was going to write me a really great 5 page review, hahaha, and I just felt so happy afterwards because I just do my job and I don't usually get that much positive feedback, but Im glad he thought I did a good job. I think he made a good choice of a home and It has a two car garage to park his classic car in, and a view of the lake for $65,000.  I cant wait to give him the keys after it records tomorrow!

Congratulations! It always feels good to receive praise for your work. How did you get into Real Estate? What do you like about it? I am looking for a career change and have considered becoming an agent. I am just not sure if it would be a good fit or not.

Thats a great idea, Lemon65, I would recommend the training CESHOP.com and wait until there is a 40% off sale before you purchase the prelicense package. I have had some terrible software programs on other websites for prelicensing, this one is better because each page is not on a timer, I would sit there reading the same page a hundred times waiting for timer to stop each minuite to change the page. so annoying. and if you walked away, it logged off after a few minites and you would have to re log in, so go with CESHOP.com.   also, you have to do continuing hours each year, check your state for how many.  I am a licensed contractor, so I am my own boss.  try to pick a brokerage that fits your personality, extravert/ introvert, how much floor time that you want, how much is expected of you.  also, there is a book that has all the answers to the final tests, let me know when you get to the test taking time and Ill try to find out the name.  Check out the commision split at each brokerage, I chose one with a 50/50 split so I dont have to pay desk rent or do floor time, and I make my own hours and hardley ever go to the office. its worth it for the freedom and I think I make more money out in the field.

That is really great advice! I haven't looked into it yet, but I think I might. I graduated from a university, but never did anything with my degree and now I am feeling stuck. I really want something with flexible hours, which is why I am considering Real Estate. Have you always workedin Real Estate or did you do something else before?
