No..around here, they go in large groups of teenagers. (We live in a large subdivision). I don't think anyone around here would even think to let there 8-9 year old go out alone to trick or treat. And our subdivision is pretty nice.
Around us .. I don't think anyone less than 12-14yo should be out without adult supervision. And personally, if you're 12-14yo; you're probably too old to be trick or treating in the first place. Just my opinion.
Depends on your neighborhood, but I'd say no younger than 10. Ten or over, they should be okay in groups. But again, that's if you live in a relatively safe area.
I don't mind teenagers trick or treating. As long as they're out having fun and not causing trouble or harassing younger kids, I think it's fine. I went as a teeneager. Free candy's free candy!
