Does having 50/50 joint physical/legal custody affect bm getting govt assistance?

currently dh and bm are about to be going through a custody thing over sd. She has food stamps and gets SSI for sd's adhd 'disability' and she has sd on state medical insurance. she might get other help but thats it as far as I know. If DH were to be granted 50/50 joint custody, would that affect BM's govt assistance help at all??

At least in TX you are supposed to state how much cs you receive...she might have lied and I bet a bunch of the cp's lie about it.

thank you guys. Just making sure because bm is fighting pretty hard on this. She wants full control over sd, i was just wondering if she was freaking out about possibly losing benefits...
