Are all teenagers two faced lying little shits? Or just skids?
I don't know how to handle the lies, nor the false niceties .... What do you guys do?
Does this change? When?
Is there anything you can do to gain some kind of control back?

Not all kids lie to the same degree. My sd lied about EVERYTHING and so did her dad. My kids lie when they don't want to get in trouble, but not always. Mostly they are truthful.

Not all. I was like MarieJ - totally above board. Until I got to college. HA! But even then I never lied to my parents.

SDs lie a lot because they can get away with it. SD11 was caught in a big one on Friday. DP should have got on her ass faster about it, but I just didn't talk with her the rest of the night. I don't really trust either one of them and have to remind myself that disengagemnet means exactly that, limit time/effort in ALL ways.
