DH's SD and that GoFundMe biz
Two weeks ago, DH's SD and her husband started a GoFundMe page.

It was deleted within 24 hours. I don't know if someone gave SD shite over the idiocy or reported it or what, but it's gone.
Anyhoo, here we are, 2 weeks later. And SD and her husband are going away for the weekend!!! Their 2 kids are NOT going. The oldest is staying with the paternal grandparents and the baby is staying with GrandHo and Mr. Pinhead. Free babysitting for the weekend, y'know?
Isn't it AMAZING how they saved up enough money to pay off those medical bills AND be able to head to a big city in another state for a weekend of drunken fun? Gosh golly geewhillikers, I sure wish I had that kind of money-saving ability!!!

Ha Ha...OSD went to 2 different states with her DH (they are back together again) and their kids for a week. I have no idea how they can even afford to do this. Even if they are staying with family- the cost of gas and traveling. And how do they get time off work? Oh wait they don't really even work. I am so confused about all of this.

DH said SS told him that they stayed with some cult friend of BMs while out there, but still.. plane fare for 3 people.. plus spending money while there... and this is the BM who couldn't afford to buy SS a fishing license for $30.00. Of course they have money for a trip! Their priorities are monthly bills, eating out/drinking, and medical bills. In that order. Drinking is a MUST with these two. SD would bypass new clothes, haircut, cigarettes, but NOT booze.

2) A former friend of mine didn't have the money to buy a 75 cent beer... but was heavily smoking Cowboy Killer Reds (Marlboro) and was always buying fast food.

I have often wondered about those GOfund me accounts? I see them all the time, but am too scared to donate.. even to ones that I'm pretty sure are legit and "worthy" How in the world does it work? How do you know that people are spending the money they get on what they say the money was for? I'm guessing you don't, that you just hope they are being honest??
My cousin was recently shot
My cousin was recently shot in an armed robbery but looters in some of the flood areas of Louisiana. His wife set up a gofundme account for medical expenses and unemployment (didn't have a job to lose) almost immediately. I went to visit him in the hospital and his wife was asking me about Disney World and telling me they are going as soon as she gets her student refund check in the bank from the college she's been going to off and on for about six years now. Every time there was a donation to the GFM the phone would ring and she would get so excited. She treated herself to a two hour meal at Olive Garden and a visit to the shopping mall. She's flooding social media with pictures of my cousin in his hospital gown telling everyone how much they scrap by as it is already. I refuse to donate a red cent to that woman.
