What do you make of this?? It makes me doubt DH completely

Biomomof2's picture

When I met DH he was going through court for gardenship of FauxSGD. Then he started talking to her about adopting her. He was telling me he told SD if she dropped FauxSGD off with him, it will be permeant.
About 5 months ago he had fauxSGD start staying the weekends with her mom and then sent her back to live about 2 months after weekends started.
One day we had company and SD and FauxSGD came by to get some of her things. He was explaining to company who they were and added FauxSGD just went back to her moms as it was always the plan once SD was stable. All three of us, SD, FauxSGD, and I were looking at him like he had lost his mind. He fought SD for months over even seeing SGD telling SD she was never going to see SGD again. And now all of a sudden, it was always the plan??
When his stories change like this it makes me doubt him completely.

Why can't they be held to their word?? And they (well, at least DH) will either try to convince me I remember it wrong, deny it ever happening, or get mad at me for making him feel bad?!?!

momentary delusion... it makes me kind of sad to hear stories like this, sad for the dh's. they wanted things so desperately to work out a certain way, then when reality hits the only way they can move on is to reinvent history.

i wouldnt doubt him, i'd pity him. bless his heart, god luv him.

Why would you be sad that he tried to take his ex step daughters kid, when she ( mom) asked for help???

I've wondered about this. During the last 2 arguments I actually wrote down word for word some of the things he said. 2 days later " he doesnt know what I'm talking about he never said that" it is very frustrating. It makes him never wrong because history just changes to suit him

Yep Chef does this all.the.time. I thank GOD I don't have to deal with Ye Olde Double Standard anywhere NEAR what some of you ladies do with bios in the home!!!

A narcissist loses interest very quickly, is almost "ADHD-like" and makes rash, illogical, snap decisions. Like impulse buying. Chef is a champion of impulse buying and of buyer's remorse.
