survived being excluded this weekend SD's second wedding
Disclaimer: It wasaround 24 years ago I was a young stepparent who took care of skids most of every other week while DH worked 12 hour factory shifts. I fed them, washed their clothes, packed school lunches, drove them to school, took them to dr's and haircuts and drove field trips and volunteered in their classrooms, bought their school supplies and clothes, let them have slumber parties at my big home, loved them and was kind to them.
the whole time BM screamed an cussed anytime she saw me or if I answered my home phone or did not answer it, she left a message on recorder about how big of a bI*** I was and accuse me of things I didn't do, I responded to BM with kindness and patience and tried to listen to her screaming for words that made sense. Then later avoided her.
SD grew up and said the only reason I did those things was because I wanted to be better then her mom. Said she didn't want to have a relationship with me or DH. I sent her a birthday card, she let me know she would sue me if I contacted her agin, so I avoided her too. DH tried many times to reach out to her. eventually he let her have her way.
Well her second wedding was this weekend, to another guy. DH and I were not invited.
She has a Facebook post on my sons (her stepbrother's) Facebook because her new DH friend requested my son. they posted a photo of SD and her new little innocent SD, both dressed up in wedding clothing, forehead to forehead lovingly.
and ACTION!!!!!! (as if this was a movie and we are going to watch how this goes)

What a blessing to not have
What a blessing to not have to be a part of that f@ckery!!!
Make sure the microwave is working
Get family size pop corn. Start popping.
Be very grateful you didn't
Be very grateful you didn't have to go. I had to go to mine and it was not an experience I would wish to repeat.
I hope the karma bus is
I hope the karma bus is headed straight for SD's ungrateful ass, but it'd be par for the course if her new hubby's ex isn't crazy and she doesn't end up being shit upon like you were. I really think the crazy/personality disordered ex makes ALL the difference in many of these situations. I pray daily for the BM here's continued mental health.
For me...
Its not at all difficult to be better than SD13 Munchkins mom.
In any and every way.
Good that you were not invited - saved a ton of money! And hopefully the karma bus will hit her soon enough.
I can't think of a better way
I can't think of a better way to survive a wedding, than to not be invited, in the first place.
Did I read correctly---your
Did I read correctly---your bio son was there but not you and DH?
no, bio son was not invited.
no, bio son was not invited. he only had wedding photos posted on his facebook by SD's fiance
God I hope if SD ever gets
God I hope if SD ever gets married (I kind of doubt she will though, I dont think her or BM ever actually would get married) DH and I arent invited. Bullet dodged.
Also, things like this are exactly why I dont go above and beyond for SD. Just knowing her personality type I know that the more I do for her the crappier I'll get treated and the less she will respect me. I'm sorry you had all your kindness backfire on you.
LOVE IT! Can't wait for her
LOVE IT! Can't wait for her life to go up in ashes!
Popcorn time!
Pull up your chair!
I would Block SD and her new
I would Block SD and her new DH. Ideally, your son should, but since he didn't.
You don't need to see that crap.
