Bratty McBratFace is on the move.

caninelover's picture

Hi all.  Steplife for me remains quiet, but I do have some Bratty (now 26) updates to share.

First, Nutter GF finally wised up and dumped Bratty.  Not sure why but it was earlier this year.  I'm guessing she just got fed up with Bratty's...well, brattiness.  Bratty did lament that they co-parented the dog for the two years they dated (yay, the dog is alive!) and now the dog is gone.

Second, apparently Bratty is now disabled.  Her 'chronic pain' requires her to sometimes use a cane, and sometimes use a wheelchair.  Of course other times she fine walking around, exercising, and hiking. Apparently the cane/chair are needed when they want attention, go figure.

Finally, Bratty has decided to move to the Midwest to be near Grandma McBratFace.  Now, Grandma McBratFace doesn't actually want this but Bratty has decided she must take care of Grandma (even though DH's sister lives nearby and has been Grandma's caretaker for years).  We'll see how that goes.

Bratty is still 'applying' to med schools this year.  No idea how that will pan out.

From my perspective, I am glad she is leaving California but sorry Wisconsin, she will be your problem now LOL.

My new puppy is now 10 months old and the cutest, sweetest thing ever!  Life is pretty good for me.

I hope all you ST'ers are hanging in there!

I'm guessing Bratty needs Grandma more than Grandma needs Bratty.  You know how grandmas are: sympathetic, non-judmental, gullible, generous.  And,  I'm sure Bratty will give Auntie plenty of advice (cough cough).

Bratty is looking for a maternal figure in her life, since she has been no contact with her mother Darth Vader for many years now.  But I don't think Grandma wants to raise another kid - she is 90 now and raised 7 kids already.  I wish Bratty would leave her alone.

I'm sure Bratty won't object if she takes Grandma shopping and a few items of hers end up in the cart.  By mistake of course.

I wonder if Bratty thinks she can step in as “caregiver” to grandma and then use that on her medical school application.

caninelover's picture

Except Bratty would exaggerate and write about how she saved poor grandma.

Oh God, that poor woman. 90 years old and having to deal with Bratty... no peace, even at 90. Does grandma have any $$$? Maybe Bratty is going to try to weasel her way into an inheritance?

Looks like Nutter and Goofy both flew the coop on our stepdaughters this year. Go figure. Even Nutter isn't nutty enough to stay with Bratty. Unfortunately these maladjusted skids are doomed to lives of turmoil.

caninelover's picture

I wish Bratty would just leave her alone.

Yeah not surprised these two are single again LOL.

Trying to scam the disability system?  Maybe she thinks that would be easier in Wisconsin than in California.

caninelover's picture

I don't think she's worked enough for pay to qualify for state disability in CA.  No idea about Wisconsin.

Either way, walking around would likely invalidate any claim.  I don't think she's collecting disability, or planning too - yet.  10 years later, probably.

Hoping she really doesn't have something wrong with her but I laughed out loud on this...

I always love a good Bratty update. Have you witnessed via zoom her in a wheelchair or cane use.. I wouldn't be able to hold it together.

Clearly she uses grandma... this should have an interesting outcome.

caninelover's picture

She posted recently about her using mobility aids as support sometimes.  Then other times brags about hiking, camping, etc.  No logic with this one.

caninelover's picture

I doubt even Bratty believes she would be sole heir.  She may be overestimating Grandma's wealth, as it would likely be spilt between 7 living children first.  Maybe a token for grandkids.

But really she lives off of SS and an annuity, which would stop on her death anyway.  She may have some minor assets and a home that isn't worth too much ($300k maybe).

Maybe Bratty believes taking on the caretaker role will get Grandma to change her will. Or at least get more. *unknw*

caninelover's picture

But I don't think Grandma has much outside the annuity, which would stop on her death.  So Bratty will be very disappointed in that outcome, I think.

To cane and wheelchair

  That's quite a digression.

So true!!!

What does your husband have to say about her "mobility support devices"?

It's official. I am old. Because I constantly think "WTF is wrong with people".

I swear if I saw her I'd probably [accidentally] kick the cane out.

I'm disengaged so don't care, except to get a chuckle or two.  And as a reminder to remain disengaged.

she really has attention seeking needs. SMH

As for Grandma, hopefully the family steps in and says a harsh, NO, to Bratty. Visit, sure? Care taker, no. If I remember right, isn't Granny onto her shenninigans?? Think she'll stop Bratty? Either way, at least she's not your issue to deal with. So nice to watch from afar in this instance.

The puppy makes me smile...10 months. Such fun times. Enjoy! Always good when life has us in a good place on the journey.

caninelover's picture

She would likely call her daughter if Bratty was too much.  Funny thing is she would call her daughter and not DH, like even she knows he's a weak parent.

caninelover's picture

Yes she is so much fun!  And growing so fast!  In a few years after DH retires we are hoping to buy and RV and take the ourselves, the dog, and two cats on the road to tour the national parks!

AgedOut's picture

will Grandma's closer kin stand up for her if need be? Bratty may be using 'taking care of Grandma' as her excuse for not furthering her education in a timely manner. "I was going to finish up but being the hero I am I was needed to tend to my ailing Grandma. It had to be me because I'm trained and know more than the other lowly family members"

have you suggested a helper dog for Bratty? maybe plant the seed for her to get a helper monkey?

This is right in the Little Idiot playbook. Turn failing/can't get into medical school into something that makes her look good.

caninelover's picture

She is a narcissist so she can't fail, you know.  It would only be to help grandma.  "Roll Eyes*

She is applying now for fall 2024 term.

Bratty acts like a parasite looking for a new host.  Actually many of the skids on this site, fit that description.

caninelover's picture

Always wants someone to take care of her, now that Daddy won't do it.

Rags's picture

Hmmmmm?

If, and that is a big IF... she can get accepted.  And even a bigger IF she can graduate, The 80-100hr weeks of residency etc.... will either weed her out, or have a high probabily of her  getting hooked on pain killers. due to her "painful"disability".

As someone who actually has a federally recognized disability, and has not ever played that card, people who fake it or have a recognized disability that is no detriment to their ability to perform and play that card just piss me off.

At least GF came to her senses and rescued the dog.  Funny how BMcBf is selecting GrannyMcBf as her next victim.

I am happy to hear you are well and that puppy is a joy for you.

Give rose

My opinion - if she gets accepted, it will end up being suing the school ECT for not catering to her needs.  Or just dropping out, as with post bacc 1.0.

Whatever, we'll see.
