Happy New Year, and a very Bratty Cyber-Stalking Start to 2025

Hi everyone!! I hope you are all doing well at the start of this New Year!

DH and I are doing very well! We had a great trip to Patagonia last year. And, DH is set to retire in October of this year - so we have more adventures ahead of us!

So as far as I know - Bratty is enoying her first year of med school and being very studious. Good for her, everyone is proud.

But...

I have a Facebook account. Bratty and DH"s family is on it. Vacation photos, etc. No problem with that.

I have 2 Instagram accounts.

A personal one where I post about some volunteer work I do.

A second one that is my dog's perspective (Obviously I post everything there) but also our volunteer work together (I have trained her to be a registered therapy dog - so we volunteer together in various places).

Bratty followed both. I originally accepted. Until last summer where she tried to fake vegan desserts plus other wierd interactions. I unfollowed her.

She decided to try and follow me again. I accepted and immediately un-followed. At this point, I told DH and said I felt cyber stalked. He said he understood my decision, which was to block Bratty on Intagram. Which I did.

Haven't heard of any blowback so far. We'll see. I dont really care if there is since I've already told DH I cant stand Bratty. But, we'll see.

Always fun times in the Step World.

I can't imagine how many times she will 'forget' critical things.

How does she have time to stalk?

I thought those medical stufents were so busy? I hope you'll do a public service to Steptalkers and if she gets a MD you'll let us know where she's practicing so we can avoid Dr. Bratty.

I thought med school was supposed to be all consuming as well.

Glad to see you back!! I have missed you and your wisdom!! Glad you and your DH are doing well. My DH and I are retired by a few years and are having fun, especially in travels!! Here's to many happy trips for you and your DH!

Sometimes we disengage

To protect ourselves. SD Obviously rather stalked you then being friends with you. You must get ''''off of the crazy train'''' stop playing SD games. It's for your mental health. What ever happens with SD in the future, will happen. You did more then your part.

Dumbing down professional training programs is a thing.

I have read on it regarding Doctors, CPAs, Lawyers, professional Licensure in several professions, etc.... Brats are whinging that it is toooo harrrrddddd and many areas are so short in new blood coming in that many of the programs and professional organizations are stupid-ifying the programs and certification exams to cater to the weak, lame, and lazy spe-cial spawn that have delusions of grandeur just to get bodies in roles.

It pisses me off for the ones who are competent, doing the work, and actually capable.
