Dawnathon

Hi all,

I have been reading so many posts from people who are so greatful to have this site. Called it many things: a god send, my saviour & the only sanity some SP's have.

As I am in Australia and wasn't sure about how to get a donation to Dawn to keep this running smoothly, as I notice more and more posts everyday. But alas she has a PayPal option!

So I have started the Dawnathon with a donation of $5 USD and I know alot of people can't afford it, but as Dawn has said "Every $1 helps" So let us know if you can get on board and help out for a dollar or 2 and give her back some of the money we have saved on therapy!!

I just think Dawn must have so much to pay, for Domain name, reliable server and puts so much time into this site and we get to use it day and night for free!! We are getting so many new members I just think it's time we help out a little. Good on you guys!!

Thanks for the effort! I greatly appreciate it!! Unfortunately, I think most people still think their $1 won't help so they don't do it. In two years online and with more than 1700 users signed up, StepTalk has received 12 donations.

2nd donation!

I believe it would be in the best interest of EVERYONE on this site to make a donation.... as I know I'd be lost without this site. I just made my 2nd donation. I'm not really sure what the cost of running/ maintaining this site is, but if the over 1700 members donated at least a $1, then I'm quite sure the cost Dawn encounters for this site would be lessened, if not covered. What's a $1 when we all have used this site & gained not only valuable advice, but also support & friendship? It would be a $1 well spent!!! COme on everyone, lets ensure Steptalk is around for a long time.... get to donating ASAP.

I am really suprised that is all the donations you've had!! I must admit in the 6 months I have been on this site, I was so wound up with my own troubles that donating to you was the last thing on my mind. Sorry for that thought! But as I have a website for my business and of late I have forked out over $800 to update and design, it got me thinking how you cope with all the expense.

Thankyou for all you do and I hope my Dawnathon gets a few more bites yet!! Lets all keep posting to this thread and keep it on top of the list...times are tight but it costs less than coffee to help out
