We see SS5 and SS4 once a month, as we live in NC and they live in TX. We fly there, get a hotel and rental car, and have a weekend with them. It was SS4's birthday (well for us, it had happened not on our weekend) so we spent the day at a kids fun park, with go-karts, mini golf, rides, arcade, etc.

When we got back, I was wiped, so SS5 and I were just chilling in the room. SO wanted to go for a walk and take pictures (he has a photography hobby) and SS4 wanted to go. The hotel we stay at is a resort on a lake in Austin. Because of all the rain, the lake is back up to the top, its normal level. We have jokingly convinced SSs that there are sharks in there, and every time we look at the lake they excitedly tell me they just saw a shark jump.

When SO and SS4 were on their walk, they went down by the lake. SO said that SS4 of course started talking about the "lake sharks". He said "I'm so glad that CBCharlotte didn't come on this walk. I love her. I don't want her to fall into the lake and the sharks would get her. I love her so much. I don't want her around the sharks"

SO explained that I can swim and walk so I wouldn't fall in and he doesn't have to be afraid. SS4 said "I know she's a big girl, but I still feel better knowing she's safe in the room. I love CBCharlotte daddy"
