My BS7 ran his first (by himself) 3K race on Saturday! He's run the race twice before, but with me... and I'm slow and he is not. lol So this year since he knows the course and it is a State Trooper memorial race that there are MANY law enforcement officers at, DH and I decided to let him run it by himself.

My sweet and competitive little 7 year old finished second in his age group and tenth OVERALL! He got a medal and was so excited! DH told him that if he got 1st, he would give him $15, $10 for second and $5 for third. The first words out of BS7 mouth after he went up and got his medal were "Dad owes me ten bucks!"
