Justice for Mic and SS!!!
Could it really be? After all this time? Could the court finally be stepping in and making Ms. Perfect abide by the rules? Yes, yes, and another resounding yes!
You know, it's a shame that a mother would ever put herself in the position to choose between following the judge's orders or going to jail, but that's exactly what happened! And she's going back to court on account of it. Yup...the judge is going to tell her himself. And the best part is that Mic doesn't have to miss work and go! After she got the call, it was very easy to talk to SS for a few days.
But it's already losing it's luster a bit. Mic had to work late last night and he called and left a message at 6:30. Of course, when he got off at 9:00, SS had not called him back. When he called again, Ms. P. picked up and gave him a while bit about how it wasn't between 6:00-7:00, but she eventually put him on the phone. What a wrech...I guess she forgot about the unlimited access part of the court order. But I suspect the judge will remind her soon enough.
In the meantime, SS still hasn't spent a moment alone without his friends (with the exception of a few nights, and by nights I mean like until 8:00 or 9:00). She hasn't spent any time at all with him since he's been home, just setting up unending playdates. It just becomes more and more apparent that she doesn't care to spend quality time with him, she just wants to keep him from Mic as much as possible.
I'm wondering if we shouldn't change his schedule. Maybe if he asks to call he can, and just wait and see if she calls him. Not sure if it would hurt his felling when she doesn't, though. He seemed pretty happy all the times last week when she didn't answer (like he thinks of it as a chore...wants to spend as little time as possible doing it). I don't know...I guess we'll see.
But in the meantime...VICTORY!!! God is so good.

Good for you!
I know exactly what you're going through. My SS dreads every time his awful phone rings. Then we get to hear "Great, it's my Mom again...". When he talks to her he makes it VERY obvious that he has better things to do. Lately he'll even say "I don't want to hear it. Can we go? Can we get off the phone?" And then she tries to tell us that he hates being with us! Haha, sorry, but someone's in denial.
Congrats on things finally going your way and better for SS. It feels great, doesn't it? It's sad that it takes so long and so much fighting to have these little victories, but I think every one of them makes things sweeter because it's another helping hand to the father and son's relationship.
