Which of the following best summarizes
Your skid and the end slice of a loaf of bread:

a) Doesn't care. Bread is bread right?
b) Will eat it, but only if there are no other bread slices left.
c) It is to be avoided at all costs! End slice icky! Ew! No, no, NO!
d) What's a "loaf"?

SS14 could care less....Kid asks for nothing and has been a breeze to raise. BS18 would find something else. SD17 don't know anymore and don't care.

Former SSwas9 would be D, this kid wouldn't even eat crusts on his sandwhiches. BD has no problem with crusts or the end slices. (she went through a phase of not eating crusts after watching SS do it but is happily eating all of her bread now)

Stepdevil14 still has her mommy cut the crusts off her bread so yeah, the end slice is just an abomination to her.

I love my stepson so I will compare BM to the end slice of bread:

Everybody touches it, but no one WANTS it for their own.

We use the first end piece as a "stale blocker" so we leave it as the first piece until the loaf is gone. Then the last sandwich is made of two end piece.... Until its gotten stale or crumbled.

I don't give the skids/BS a choice....if the end pieces come up then they get them as their sandwich.

No one has ever comments or complained so I don't know how they feel about the end pieces. The skids don't lift a finger for themselves, so. Who knows what they would do if they had the choice to pick which slice of bread they eat.

the "stale blockers" are good too, even if they do get stale u can pop them in a freezer baggie for use in meatloaf!

my skids wont eat the ends, i'll eat them w/ that side of the slice on the inside of the sandwich only if there's no more bread. if there is, then i'll save them for meatloaf or meatballs- yum!!!

SD8 is utterly moronic. She wouldn't know her toe from her finger unless it was explained to her.

But it wouldn't really matter SD8 would not care. She would eat us out of house and home if given the chance.

c) - DH's kid would probably choose being hungry than eating that final piece of bread.

But to be fair, I hate it to. We usually use it to feed the birds in our backyard.

They all like the crust. If you make a sandwich with the crust facing the center..I don't think my SD realizes that she is eating the crust. I'm glad my Skids no longer paw up half the loaf to get to the crust, that was nasty..lol
