My SD asked when she was
My SD asked when she was about 6, I think it's somewhat natural when you haven't always been there for a child to want to know how you got there.
As for asking your brother- well maybe BM told her something that was meant to discredit you, I was as honest as possible with SD(age appropiate version) and found out her BM had already told her a very inappropriate version.
How did you meet?, were you not able to be honest w/SD, or did brother just not know the exact way you met FH?

i came into BF's
life dating him 7 years after he'd been divorced from BM. i have nothing to hide. my brother is younger and doesnt deal with many children so his response was just the first thing that came to his head...i dont think he even knows exactly how we met either. i guess he was more surprised by the question and said something simple..."they met at the pool"...not sure where he got that from...but yes BM and everyone else knows i came into the picture wayyyy down the road. i guess not being a bio mom the question shocked me just as much as it shocked my brother..so i fumbled with it for about a minute and then i told her the truth... but thank you for responding..i guess she was just curious and that's it. i guess when i was 8 i was more afraid to ask questions because i was taught not to ask "adult" questions...or to get in adults business..but that doesnt make her question wrong..thx
I know, I was raised with
I know, I was raised with alot of the same values about knowing I was a k, unfortunately in our case ateast, BM has always treated SD like a friend and told her alstf adult stuff, mostly fabricated in BMs ck warped world, and I hate it but have as tried to deal with it for SD benefit the best way I know how and if it's something you really don'twant to share you can always ell her that "I will l you when you are older but for noall you need to know is that we all love you", I had to say it on ocassion.
My SD was not raised as I wouldprefer, but being a SP meant going along for the ride alotmore than building the ride.
I hope you have a great weekend!
