We have decided to go on a family road trip, it has gone well but I miss home.

Both SD & BS have been great on this trip, no major drama. We apparently didn't get the donuts SD likes so we got a little offa that and she doesn't want to share her toys with BS (who is 4 so I try to keep him out of her stuff), but what ANNOYS me, is that she WANTS to play with all HIS toys. I tell that she needs to be fair, if she wants him to share, then she should do the same. He at times wants to hold a Barbie and play with her & she gets upset, but ohh well sibling rivalry.

Here is where the venting begins...

When we stop somewhere, whether it be to eat, sleep, or just a potty break, people always seem to notice BS (I think its because he is the cutest lil boy anyone has seen, but it may also be that he is the only kid running around... Call me biased... lol) anyway, when people say "HI" to SD she will be all shy and doesn't say hello in return. Ok she is all of a sudden shy fine whatever - don't make her talk to strangers. When that same person says hello to BS and he says hello back SD will go on love on BS and try to get his attention by asking for hugs, kisses, and saying how cute he is. As soon as the stranger turns around she quits the act. DH & I are always present with the kids so they are NEVER approached by strangers alone.

Other than that, we are having a fun time! SD attitude appears to be getting better, I think is because DH has taken a more active role on disciplining her. I am thankful for the help he is able to offer, especially since she is HIS kid!
