PAS - crazy ex-husband...HELP! how to fight this (for my sister)

herewegoagain's picture

Oh my, today I am ready to go whack someone over the head...my sister's ex is so darn lucky I don't live anywhere close! AHOLE used to come to my apartment to "vent" with my DH about my sister...he did for about 6mos...always telling him how he had been talking a lawyer, he was getting his ducks in a row to dump her, blah, blah...well, after a few times I sent my sister an email with some "dealing with stress in a marriage" or something, in the hopes that she would be open and I could tell her what was going on...up until this point, I never just told her because 1. since she did not talk about divorcing I didn't want to cause more problems 2. she NEVER tells anyone anything about her life and does not accept anyone getting involved

Well, her reply to my email was "stay out of my business" kind of attitude and so I did. Then the two divorced (my sister actually filed before the idiot did) and it SEEMED that all was ok. I was still not thrilled about him telling his eldest son certain things about the marriage, etc...but I figured that I would butt out as "it seemed" that they were being amicable and I did not again want to cause havoc by telling her and the kids suffering.

This was two years ago. Now my sister finally tells me certain things the ahole is doing and the problems she is having with her 16yr daughter...who is the sweetest girl in the world, never gets in trouble, she is truly every parent's dream kid! The AHOLE is now trying to turn her against my sister by telling her about the problems that led to the divorce, etc...of course, HIS VIEW...and my niece is starting to be angry at my sister etc...

So I called my sister after I hung up and spilled the beans and told her EVERYTHING that asshole had done before, had told us...it was ALL in his plan to have the kids decide where to live and then little by little get them to live with him, etc...she was pissed, but I told her she needed to keep her cool but begin documenting, etc and contact a lawyer, etc...and that both my husband and I were willing to testify to ANYONE about what he told us.

I need information on PAS, if you have had any success with dealing with this through the courts, books, etc...I'll be damned if this will happen to my niece...

Thank you!
