I think I will be back on steptalk regularity for the next month or so! I will need the moral support because DH is already making big plans for SD7's grand arrival in just over 2 weeks.

Today is SD7's 7th birthday so it began will a call first thing in the morning where we all sung happy birthday on Skype. This I don't mind. I actually like SD7. She would be a fantastic kid if her parents weren't such morons!

BM is planning a HUGE birthday party for SD7 and I am sure she is getting totally spoiled. Ever since BM moved SD7 to another country she has been literally giving the kid whatever she wants - eg: iPod touch, toys games, clothes etc... Unfortunately she still can't roll her fat self out of bed in the morning to prepare her child a decent breakfast though. (SD7 bragged to is that she made her own breakfast sometimes... Icecream. :O Seriously. I digress). Anyways the spoiling wouldn't bother me if SD7 wasn't constantly flaunting all of the stuff she gets in front of BD7, who then wonders why she doesn't get stuff too. It also bothers me because BM has decided that she can afford this massive bday party but can't afford to fly SD7 to us (she bares burden of transportation) so she is going to stick this tiny 7 year old on a 7 hour flight alone in a couple of weeks... *sigh*

Anyways! The main stress I am experiencing is that DH has now invited his parents over for several days during SD7's visit, as they live in another province, and we are supposed to have a big party here for her and whatnot. I am fine with a cake and a quick visit but why do we have to make a giant event?? She is already getting a huge shindig from BM! My kids only get one party!

DH is anticipating the arrival of the golden child... My stress level is climbing. I hate hate hate who he is when he parents out of guilt! Heaven help me!
