Grrrrrr!!!!
My kids, SD13, BS7, and BS2, receive quite a bit of cash from my DH's family. Every holiday they get $5-$10. And I mean every holiday. Halloween, thanksgiving, 4th of July, St. Patrick's Day, etc. I make the kids put it in the bank in their savings accounts for college. We pay for anything they need or do, and they get allowance for spending. Anyway, I was going to the bank, planning on depositing money, and asked SD for hers. She said she's just been leaving the money on the counter (very cluttered). I make BS7 take his money upstairs to his bank, I take the two year old's up to his bank, why would I let her leave hers on the messy counter? She swore up and down that she had no money for the bank, and I must have it. My husband agreed with her that he has seen it laying out. I said, "I don't know, maybe she spent it???" Of course I practically get accused of stealing her money (with bio sons watching) before I remembered the $40 boots she.bought two weeks ago. My husband is in some deep doo-doo.
