I wanna quit too!
So I decided yesterday to tell the SS22 and SD16 to clean the bathroom. I have been having a hard time telling them to help around the house and I wanna start asking of them as I would ask of my own bio kids.
We have one and a half baths. The full bath is shared by all of us. The SD showers and leaves long hair stuck to the shower stall, SS pisses all over toilet seat, SD leaves her bloody tampons in the open trash can for all to see, they both leave wet towels on the counter and leave their spit from brushing their teeth in the sink. DH is a pig too. These types of things don't bother him at all! He looks past it; and we shower in that bathroom and he sees the mess. He doesn't say a word. I clean up after myself and DH, but the skids need to help too. That's my opinion and that's how I raised my bio kids.
So I told SD16 to clean the bathroom sink and throw out the trash. I told SS22 to clean the toilet and scrub the shower stall. I told them both I would do the floor after they do their part. I figured that would be fair since DH and I use the bathroom to bathe.
This was clearly, and nicely communicated to them yesterday. This morning there was another tampon in the trash, the sink is still dirty, the toilet is dirty and of course the shower stall is dirty!
To top it off, my BS16 spent the night last night and when he went to shower, he noticed the dirty tampons in the trash and the hair stuck to the shower stall. Ugh!! He was grossed out!!
What do I doooooo????? God!! I love my DH, but these kids are so jacked up!!!

If I hear that whiny "it's not mine" one more time.....someone is gonna get hurt!!!!!
I told mine (SS16) I don't wear your clothes either".
I am hanging on by one thread these days.
I hear you!! I have told my
I hear you!! I have told my SD about the tampon thing too; repulsive!! Wrap it up or something ~ no one wants to see it. I asked her the other day if it was hers (I knew it was; she's the only one) and she looked right at me in front of her dad and said - it's not mine..AAAHH REALLY!! Dad sits.....
My bioD11 does the dishes every day and whatever else I ask; SD13 Swithches one load and thinks she deserves $10.00 ~ which SHE gets by the way. I am not sure why.
when you see it in the bathroom or the towels are still there; place them in there room; or put a couple of your things in their space; ask them how they like picking up after you or looking at bloody tampons; sounds kind of childish; i know but maybe a couple times of it; they'll stop
Right on A.Deville. I can't
Right on A.Deville.
I can't tell you how many times I have told my DH to pick up something of SS's. Sometimes he will make SS clean it up, or he will just do it himself. I don't really care who does it.
I know it ticks my DH off, but oh well. We talked about this before we married. If kids make a mess, they clean it up. The appropriate parent is responsible to make sure it is clean.

I'm gonna try to remind each of the skids in front of DH and see what he does. If that doesn't work, I'm gonna start telling him to do it, just as A.Deville suggested. I feel badly about that because he works all day and doesn't deserve to have to clean house too, but.......
I'm not a clean freak; of course according to the skids and DH, I'm OCD about cleaning. Either way, I think being a bitch is probably my only choice cuz no one gives a shit that I'm uncomfortable living in a sloppy home. But of course it's okay for me to pay bills so everyone can enjoy electricity, water, hot food, a HOOOMMME and insured cars. THAT I'm good for!!! Bastards!!
