Foiled Break Once Again
Once again my break has been completely taken up by SS11. Theres was no actual rest or time with just my family. SS was supposed to leave the day after Christmas. Instead he ask BM if he could stay longer, she said "of course! I'm sure your dad would love to have you". So SS announced he'd be staying through his entire break and DH says "Awesome buddy!".....
At least, that how i was told it went down. When it came time to take SS home, I asked when he was leaving and DH says :Oh I didn't tell you? SS is gonna stay until the 3rd." Never mind the fact that we have only one car and I will have to find someone to sit with my other two kids and take me to work and pick me up that day, as long as DH can kiss SS butt hoping he'll come live with us this year when he turns 12. In case you're wondering, No, i don't want that to happen, as I've stated before, I don't trust him around our other children.
Also, while I'm venting, we bought him a very nice gift (it was the most expensive one that was purchased this year.) to which he stuck his nose up at and said "Oh, i asked for a PS 4 and Jordans and X Box One...I mean, I guess this is okay too". he's been complaining about things the whole Holiday. Anyway....
I could say more but I'll just leave it at that.

Skid: Oh, I wanted a bunch of other stuff. Uh, this is "ok," too.
Dad: What's that? I heard, "Dad, I want to give this wonderful present to charity and then I'm going to do the dishes all week."
Skid: Ack?!?!?!
Dad: Or did I hear, "Dad and SM, thank you so much!" Can you help your old dad out, which one did I hear?
That's how most families I know would have played it. That is, if any kid that old had dared make that mistake which most of the kids I know (except for one who lives in my house) would not.
Sorry you weren't consulted. Sorry the BM sprang it on the dad without talking it over with him. Sorry about your car. Happy new year?
