Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Are your skids my upstairs
Are your skids my upstairs neighbors?
These kids are genetically
These kids are genetically ANNOYING. and I swear its true. They have no manners, it seems like in every mannerism they have its loud, awkward and annoying.
EVERYTHING THEY DO IS
EVERYTHING THEY DO IS MESSY....LOUD AND ANNOYING. EVERYTHING.
I hear them downstairs
I hear them downstairs now....SLAMMING STUFF AROUND.
I feel your pain. Skids used
I feel your pain. Skids used to be incapable of moving around the house without running, stomping and sounding like a herd of elephants up and down the stairs. They're a bit better now they're older and have had various consequences to make them quieten down, but they're still unable to sit still together without the need to play fight, giggle and shout like toddlers. Drives me totally insane!
Actually my BIO-kids do this.
Actually my BIO-kids do this. It is shocking to me that I am twice their weight and yet you can't hear me walking around - but they literally sound like a stampede. I've tried teaching them to have "quiet feet" but that only lasts for like 5 minutes before they forget. I guess it will come in handy when they're teenagers and trying to sneak out of the house. I'll hear them from a mile away
