I would just open my mouth
I would just open my mouth and tell her. When she says she doesn't like confined spaces reply with "neither do I, and I dont pay the rent/mortgage to utilize one room in my house...my payment is for the whole house". She should get the point.
If you do want to be flexible with her and still get to use your own space then perhaps suggesting that she use the area for homework and such drying the hours of 3pm to 6pm, but then once dinner is over you will be taking over the area and if she still needs study space she can retire to her room or go to the public library.
Tell the entitled little
Tell the entitled little asshole that if she wants to study there is her room or even better tell her there are many open apartments that she can move into - good luck!!
I like mommabeckys answer!
I like mommabeckys answer! That is something I would so say!
Heck, I didn't even let my
Heck, I didn't even let my BK's do that! (only have one at home now, she's 12, older 2 left for college like normal people at ages 17 and 18) My house has always been too crowded for this, just tell her you're so sorry she does'nt like confined spaces but we don't "spread out" in your house, anymore, starting now. The simplest answer, IMHO is always the best! Keep it simple and friendly, but firm. Repeat if necessary. My boys perfectson and psuedo step CTBB always needed to be told something several times before it sunk in, DH used to scream in thier faces (LOL) but I got better success just repeating myself while making eye contact. Hope this helps.
Well I decorated the dining
Well I decorated the dining room table with a center piece and a few plants, so taking over the dining room table and the main floor is a wee bit harder, as clearing off the table would be WORK, and she doesn't like that!!!!
But continues to be lazy. talked to husband who spoke to her. we are newly married four months but she is around constantly....I want to leave!!!
