An infinitely better life

A quick Christmas blog about all the changes in my life during the past year. I married my SO, and our relationship with the young adult SK's is so much better. There's been so many bumps on the road to get here, but I made it. The SG's are on their way to independence. Thank you all for the help and advice you've given. I thought I'd be writing another angry blog, but I can't. I'll keep reading and maybe posting here for advice on boundaries, physical and emotional. I never thought it would get better.

I was reflecting today on how peaceful this Christmas has been. Bratty McBratface is on the road to her own career and life. DH and I could not be happier in our life together. Life is good. I am glad you've found your way to a similar happy place. Congrats on your marriage and best wishes for a happy future.

We really ride the turbulent steplife wave with skids as they age from teens to almost adults, especially as they start making their independent way in life. Your situation sounds similar to mine - intelligent and driven young women who grew up indulged but are slowly moving away from dependence on their dad. It's been a trip but it's getting so much better.
