LEAVE US ALONE ALREADY
Ok.
School ended Friday. SS9 is already signed up for his first (I'm sure of many) day camps starting tomorrow. Horse camp. I'm pretty sure the kid has never ridden in his whole entire life. Fine whatever. Darth Vader's hubby's grandmother wanted to pay for SS9 and her two great-grandkids (SS9's stepbrothers) to go. I'm sure the kid will have fun.
Anyway. We have SS9 today. For the past more than 4 hours, DH has been getting RIDICULOUS text messages from Darth.
"Please don't forget about the camp tomorrow." DH: ok.
"Do you know where to go?"
DH repsonds, the address is on the flyer in his folder. I will look at it when I get home.
Darth Vader responds by texting the address. DH says ok.
Then she asks an hour later, do you know where to go? (on a side note, the place is like 10 minutes down the road from our house, but clear across town for her)
She then sends a picture of handwritten directions she had taken down from the great-grandmother who is paying for the camp.
GOOD GRIEF DARTH VADER!
DH is great and responds with ok. and then darth responds back, ok. stupid "somethingiwillnotsay".
And as I'm typing this, she texts again, asking if we've already made him a sack lunch. yes, even though it's 10 o'clock at night, I already have. complete with a horse joke on a sticky note on his sandwich box. I've also already helped him pick out clothes to wear, see if his boots still fit (not required, but good to have) and helped him get play sneakers and swimming stuff in his backpack as well (it's apparently not just horse camp, but also watch a movie and swim in a pool camp as well).
The last time he got sick, when he came back to our house, she had pre-filled three different syringes with medicine doses and gave us a paper with times and which colors to take.
I'm not an idiot. I hate the way we are being treated like we can't take care of anything. UGH!
now, I know this step-great-grandmother (to SS9) is paying for all this and wants the boys to do this. But did I mention I think it's lame how many summer camps Darth Vader signs these kids up for? She also uses the line about kids being active in sports keeps them out of trouble. Well, ok. But to a point. Those kids rarely have any downtime to learn to make decisions on their own when they have "free will". And geez louise! School just let out Friday! There's a different week of horse camp later in the summer, can't they get a break???

apparently DH told Darth
apparently DH told Darth Vader he would eat the lunch I just packed for SS9 and to go ahead and send hers with the step-brothers.
Thanks DH. Thanks.
BM is always putting fskids
BM is always putting fskids into sports because "it keeps them busy". Well see we dont have that problem here. We go tadpole hunting, play soccer at the park, ride bikes together, go on playdates with friends, go out on the river, and much more. So when she puts them in every single sport ALL YEAR LONG, we are SUPPOSED to base our measly few days that we get them around her sports schedule because that is the only thing she is capable of doing with them. That stopped really fast. The only time they go to their sports stuff is when we have nothing planned and if the kids actually really want to go... which is rare. I think 6 9 years old are too young to make them have commitments like that. Especially when fss goes out and spends the game drawing in the dirt and daydreaming... .Yeah BM, they look really busy out there.
See along about the second
See along about the second stupid text I'd of lost it and said "wow DH she really must think your too dumb to figure out how to even get out of bed in the morning let alone handle a kid. You can keep responding OK which she's clearly not getting the hint or STOP responding all together or tell her your perfectly capable and to f off for the night or I will!"
I can't stand a lack of backbone. Okay as a response works to a point but sometimes no answer is a way better hint and continue on being the capable adults you are.
