mind=blown.

So the new schedule is working out pretty well so far.

SS9 was at BM's this morning. Apparently he was playing video games with step-brother. His Step-dad, Darth Vader's humble minion, told the boys to turn it off (he wanted to watch a game on t.v.). Apparently, SS9 slammed his controller down, and said to step-dad, can't you just go watch in your room on your own t.v.?

So BM is pissed at him, barely said bye to SS9 when we picked him up from her (none of them really said anything to him...poor guy).

I say, it's because BM has always treated him like her companion instead of her son. And all of them over there always play this "one-up/burn" stuff where they try to out-do each other with cut-downs! So, I shrug my shoulders at this occurrence.

But then, we get home. He is going to play candy land with DD2. A TWO YEAR OLD. Anyway, when we played the other night, he tried to cheat against us by trying to skip a space (his piece hovered over the correct space and then he glanced at me and tried to move it to the next color). Seriously dude? I have a 2 year old and I teach elementary school. I have eyes on all sides of my head. His claim when I said, nope! was, "ohhhhh, I didn't see THAT blue." sure kid.

So tonight, he's going to play just with DD2. He was meticulously shuffling the deck of cards. He won in 3 turns. Really, kid? "I didn't cheat, I swear!"

Ok, let me shuffle and play again. He won in about 5 turns (I should've sat and watched the game...but I was trying to do some cleaning).

I said calmly to him while they were brushing teeth, "I really hope you're not cheating against a 2 year old at Candy Land. You know she just wants to play the game and spend time with her brother. She doesn't care at all about winning or losing." The look on his face was priceless. It was a total look of, you caught me, I'm somewhat ashamed, but I just really wanted to win.

so the mind=blown comes from the fact that, I just never would attribute this kind of behavior as coming from SS9. DH said, "I guess he's just growing some "male parts" (about the thing with his step-dad).

yuck to the whole situation.
