why do I keep expecting Darth Vader to be fair?
So we're trying to get to a schedule where one parent has 3 days, then the other parent 1, then back to the first for 3 days, then the other parent for 3 days....anyway... A VERY FAIR SCHEDULE.
Of course there's a problem. Drop off and pick up times.
Darth Vader is suspended without pay from her work right now. (ha! another story...) DH is working his tail off. I am off for the summer (yay for being a teacher!).
SHE JUST HAD HIM FOR 4 DAYS STRAIGHT. We get him for one day, then she gets him back tomorrow for two more days, then we get the weekend. She is not happy about getting him mid-day. She wants DH to drop him off in the a.m. so she can do hair cuts and go to a community pool because she would "hate for SS9 to miss out, he's been asking".
YOU JUST HAD HIM FOR FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT. This was what DH talked about when he proposed the schedule to her. Make a schedule in advance for once, for the whole freaking month. THAT WAY, you wanna do something special? Plan it on your days. Period.
How much you wanna bet, DH will be dropping SS9 off on his way to work instead of me taking both of his children to his mother's so she can see them since she has been working the past three months almost 6 days a week and hardly gets to see her grandkids?
watch.
(edit: DH didn't pick him up until 3:30/4. He wants to do a thing where, whatever time he picks him up, is what time he'll drop him off back to her. OH! Did anyone notice how WE DO ALL THE DROPPING OFF-PICKING UP?! I suggested to DH, set a time. 8 a.m. is when the day "starts" during the summer. She doesn't pick him up until 11 when she actually wakes up? Not our problem. We shouldn't have to do all the dropping off picking up!)
