Kids aren't even here yet, and DH has received 3 calls from SD, "Dad, can I have, dad, can we do, dad.....should I bring my bathing suit...." In otherwords, "Dad, how are you going to entertain and be a slave to my brother and I ALL summer, hu hu hu???"

OMG, I already can't stand it.

I spoke with SD's school, and found out she, yet again, all but failed this year. There was paper work sent to her mom's house, stating she was accepted into an all summer long summer school (for free, no we are going to have to pay), but it was never returned. In other words, BM needed a baby sitter for the other kids and decided, not only for herself, but for our home also, SD won't be going to summer school.

Little does everyone know, except DH (he is always on board with me), they both will be enrolled on our days starting VERY SOON. With the behaviors, lack of drive, etc, I do not believe DH and I should run around like crazy people to cater to these kids all summer.

How do all of you feel about summers with skids????

My poor DH goes nuts. He tries so hard, because he wants to make them happy, but he sees, they are never greatful or appreciative, they just expect more and more, until he is so worn out, he can't stand them. He does look to me for support, and I hate to admit, I will have nothing to do with the "giving," their behavior in and out of our home makes me not want to do SHIT for them. Love them and care about them, make sure their basic needs are met? Yes. Spoil them and be at their beck and call???? Hell NO.
