This past friday when I got home from work I noticed there was a magazine sitting on the counter. It was unfamiliar so I picked it up and asked Dh where it came from. Dh casually said "Oh Bm sent it with Ss" I didn't think much of it and leafed through the magazine. it was some nature magazine for kids and on the back there was a beautiful picture of a n animal. Well, while looking at the picture I noticed that the name on the subscription was listed with Ss's first name but instead of Dh's/our last name, it had Bm's last name. I thought it was strange and asked Ss "hey, how come this say *insert Ss's first name* *insert Bm's maiden name*?" and he says "oh, that's just because I am *insert Ss's first name* *insert dh's last name* when I'm at this house and I'm *insert ss's first name* *insert Bm's maiden name* at my mommys." and goes back to playing with his toys. :?

Ss's legal last name is Dh's last name, always has been. Dh asked him more about it after explaining to Ss that he only has 1 last name and Ss said that his mom doesn't like to say Dh's last name at her house because "she doesn't like that last name" SS seemed confused by the whole thing but said 'oh okay"... Woo-hoo Bm, way to confuse your kid, first you're telling him he has 2 bio fathers and now telling him he has 2 last names... one of the by the way you're going to be changing after you get married in a month...

Court is next week and we still have the magazine at our house as Ss forgot it. Should Dh bring this up to his lawyer? Is it petty to address this in court? Dh is pretty bothered by it and feels like Bm purposely sent the magazine over for him to see... Thoughts?
