How rare are Step Dads here?
How rare are Step Dads here? They seem to be almost as common as the albino rhino. I appreciate the female perspective but wish there was more representation from the men. Way too many of those wacked out BMs you all love so much out there remarried some poor slob who could use this place.

when we get on our "men are stupid" rants
we simply mean "men who BEHAVE stupidly are stupid"
in some of these cases with guilt-parenting and lack of boundaries for their children, I'm sure you could probably insert your wife right into the same mix (unfortunately).
So please try not to take those generalizations to heart, ok?

I grew up with my mom and 3 sisters. I've been hearing very similar things my whole life.
I'll concede 'men are stupid' to get 'women are crazy'....
okay, as long as we have this caveat...

Step Father Here!
I've been a step father for 7 years with a wife who guilt parented and gave her son everything you step moms talk about your husbands giving their precious daughters. Same frustrations, but a woman doing it to me.
I tried to disengage, but its not in me to see a teenager fail at school, be 100 lbs overweight, think he is the best at everything and not try to help.
Want a male's perspective? its the same as all of yours but on the opposite foot.
The male perspective? Looking at the same point from the
opposite direction. My wife an I usually find that when we fight we both feel the same basic things but miss the fact that we are saying the same thing because we are coming at the same point from opposite directions.
As for more StepDad bloggers. We could stand a little more testosterone in this community. This is definitely an estrogen rich environment.

I am new here, I just found this site tonight! Lots of SM posts, very few SD? I am a SD of 3 SS. and a BD of 2, one BS, one BD w/grandson.
I just found this site and this might just be the place for me to vent! (Was just recently arrested and acquitted for physical fight with oldest SS who was visiting. :O )
