Home hunting all day

I am exhausted . Went driving to 4 diff towns around me all day looking for 'for rent' signs. I dont trust internet, phonecalls, or ads. I wanna see for myself. Turns out the only places I can afford, I dont want BD8 there. Ive lived in a house for the last 20 years, I am having a hard time seeing BD8 in an apt. All the places I could afford were kinda ICK.
I do have one lead from a friend of SOs. SHe is an elderly lady, 70 who moved from her condo 4 years ago to move to the city to take care of her 97! yo mother Smile how sweet is that to picture? Wink I spoke to her and she says she may rent the place to me , but I would have to be willing to let her keep her things in the garage, 'no problem' and I offerd to help her get it ready to rent by cleaning or painting or whatever. I offerd my 19yoBSs muscle also. Hope he doesnt mind. Im sure he wont. He turned out to be a good guy. Was worried for a minute during the 16s and 17s though.
Any way, I hope this works out , It is a very nice place. DSO says no hurry. I think I should hurry.
After 6 hours of driving from place to place I worked at the restaurant til 10:30 tonite and I am beat.
Gonna go count sheep now, but wanted to get all this outa my head first.

It would be sweet if she would cut you a deal on first month's rent, in exchange for the elbow grease, too. Smile

I know you don't want to use the internet, but sometimes, Craiglist really does have some good options. I ended up renting once from an ad I found there. It was a nice brick home in a nice neighborhood, fenced yard, garage, worth a try.

I used Craigslist and found our great place. We have been living here for 5 years. Best move we ever made! Good luck on the house hunt!

Thanks guys, I will give Craigslist a try Smile I really hope she comes through though. Would be sweet. As for the deal on the rent, I think from what I understood, my elbow grease would be the deposit.
