Things are better, for now.
After multiple blow ups recently, I've calmed down and I think SO is taking me seriously, for now. The Xbox is now out of the living room and in SS16' bedroom after I told SO I did not want to live in a man cave/game room. I feel better already!
But this will not come without a price of course. SS almost never comes out of his room, and he'll never interact with SO if I'm in the room. Great, so I guess if SS can't interact with his dad on SS' terms then he will
just not interact at all. Guess who's going to get blamed for coming between SO and his son? Can't wait.
Not even sure how to broach this topic with SO so I'm keeping quiet. I've tried encouraging SO to spend one on one time with SS...but it doesn't seem to happen.
I may try to get SO another Xbox so SO can still play in the living room. SO doesnt abuse it like SS does.
In the meantime I will enjoy coming home to a house that is slowly starting to feel like my home.

I would stand strong on the xbox issue if I was you. If your SO and SS want to bond over it they can do that crap in his room.

Thx overworked. Maybe I'll just leave things be, and see how this goes. I really am enjoying the absence of Xbox in our living room.
Fightincrazy, funny you
Fightincrazy, funny you should suggest that. We have two garages. A two car and a single car. The single car has already been turned into his man cave! It houses his kit car, his tools, his bikes, and it is completely decorated with man cave stuff on the walls. He worked hard decorating it. Oh and he also has his other man cave, his own home office, I don't use it. It is filled with his model cars, planes, Army stuff, every wall is all about him. It is his place he goes to when he needs alone time. most men would be jealous of what SO has.
Now I feel even better about this now. Thx fightin.
