Historically BM wanted me to have nothing to do with SD. But we needed some new family photos, and I decided to have a friend take some of DH, SD, and myself. I was trying to avoid telling BM as I thought it would be a bit of an argument. The day we had to do the shoot, SD was supposed to be with BM, so we asked if we could have her. (I knew that wouldn't be a fight) She asked why we wanted her that day and DH told her.... She asked if we wanted her neighbor to do her hair the way she did it for SD4's bday....???? Sure! She asked if we had an outfit for her and what else we needed... what????? Was glad she was being nice, but very surprised. We gave her some of the pics of just SD, and my DH gave her one of the Xmas cards I had made... it features a couple photos one of which is just me and SD.... I didn't want to give her one, but he insisted- so far no backlash. I guess I will enjoy this while it lasts. SD told me she had asked her mom when she could see me again. Feeling very mixed about all of this at the moment.

SD will only been with BM 9 days out of the month this month, she is starting to treat me as sort of a surrogate mom. I am okay with it, just thinking in the future it could be bad- trying to be cautious.....

This was more of a throw up of what was in my head. DH doesn't really get it.
