The lengths he goes to boggles my mind
Little backstory...
I gave my old (practically new) laptop to SD16 and got a new tablet. I had said tablet sitting on the coffee table in the family room charging. DH gets very uncomfortable asking if I'd put the tablet in our room. He didn't want SD to see it and question about it or get upset.
ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?!?!
Now he's resorting to hiding things so as not to upset a 16 year old girl. And so what if she questions it? We are adults and are in no way obligated to answer to a child.
I told him he could take care of it himself. Hide it if you want.
I thought I saw it all.

He would have to ask SD and
He would have to ask SD and BM cuz they hid them.
(No subject)
:jawdrop:
Not sure which is
Not sure which is worse...lying or hiding? Technically lying is hiding the truth so it's all the same.
Either way, it's come to having to hide anything SD might want or question so as not to upset HER? Yeah, I'm not living that way.
She already thinks I spend
She already thinks I spend all HIS money and won't let him spend any on her. First of all, I am spending MY money and I have NOTHING to do with what he spends on her. She of course doesn't believe that. She knows the truth.
The truth is sweetheart that your dad doesn't think about spending money on people without direction. And what little spending money he does have he spends on himself. I'm sorry your daddy doesn't put your desires over his.
Sally, I don't know what
Sally, I don't know what color inmates wear there but here it is orange. And red hair would not be flattering with your new red hair. Just be sure you don't get caught!
It's orange, so I refuse to
It's orange, so I refuse to commit any crimes. It's not my colour
Normally, I see some of the
Normally, I see some of the mans side in the whole step mess. But this is absurd.
At least it is just a tablet and not a new car. I wonder where he would hide that. lol
Before that would have seemed
Before that would have seemed farfetched but now I'd believe it.
I had to hold my laughter
I had to hold my laughter back. I couldn't even look at him. He barely got the words out because he knew how ridiculous he was being. I said I didn't realize it was supposed to be a secret. Then he put it in the coffee table drawer.
I already took it out and put
I already took it out and put it on the kitchen table. Told DH that I would hide it in our room.
Oops! I forgot to take it up before Puke got up. I am SO sorry.
Oh sorry. Should have
Oh sorry. Should have prefaced that by saying this will be my excuse if she says anything. Didn't mean to get your hopes up. It may still happen so don't be too disappointed yet.
That will be next time she is
That will be next time she is here so I have enough time to forget it's a secret. Plus, I need to use it more so it doesn't look intentional that I'm using it all of a sudden now that SD is here.
SMDH.... really? What next?
SMDH.... really? What next?
I'm wondering that myself.
I'm wondering that myself. Not even when I got a new phone did he ask me to hide it. That's when she was on him about getting her a new phone. If she was going to be upset, that would have been the time. Oh yeah! She did get upset.
It's complete BS that he
It's complete BS that he asked you to do that. Parents shouldn't have to worry if something so insignificant is going to upset a 16 year old. Parents also don't have to answer to their children.
Oh he asked but I made him do
Oh he asked but I made him do it. I wasn't getting pulled into his joke.
Should have seen the look on
Should have seen the look on my SD's face when she noticed my engagement/wedding ring. Guess I should have hidden that, huh?
Oh yeah that was a secret too
Oh yeah that was a secret too until DH make sure SD would be ok with it. Guess that should have been a bright red flag for me.
