Sd17 moving out

PeopleAreStrange's picture

In the next two weeks. She'll be 18 then.

She decided it is a grand plan to drop out of high school. She's in 11th grade. BM won't take her and DH obviously will not let her stay out once she drops out. We helped find her a position as a live in maid. She's lucky we're helping her that much, it requires a 4-5 hour drive each way for us.

She's acting like an absolute idiot. It is her life. Thank God DH doesn't partake in her pity parties and craziness.

Well, much earlier than I thought but 2 down 1 to go I suppose! I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude, I also will not allow myself to be roped into her nonsense.

So, my list of some positives:

1. No more dishes laying around.
2. No more drinking 2 pots of coffee a day and never cleaning up the pot.
3. DH agreed her room can be turned into a playroom for DS.
4. None of her running to BM going "Dad and PeopleAreStrange did____"
5. No more lies.
6. No more completely immoral behavior.
7. No more lack of an iota of common sense!

Yeah - that is going to work!!! Really! How will a lazy teenager manage to keep that job. They are going to expect her to clean and clean well. Don't count your blessings, because I bet it doesn't work and she will be back.

Not our issue, it's on her now. DH won't let her back so I'm not worried about that.
